Workers from Cornerstone Tower Co. a subcontractor of Platte Valley Communications, were making good progress on the new Boone County communications tower this week.
The tower in the fairgrounds had reached a height of 200 feet on Monday, Sept. 21. It was expected to be at the full 300-foot level by Thursday, Sept. 24.
Operation of the tower was expected to start in early October.
