Max L. Berg, former City Clerk of San Clemente, passed away at the age of 90 ½, at home with family by his side on Sept. 4, 2015. A Celebration of Life will be held in Max’s honor on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at Max Berg Plaza Park, 1100 Calle Puente, San Clemente CA. Carol A. Johnson, 72, of Newman Grove, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel-Zion Lutheran Church, rural Albion, with Rev. Michael Kern officiating. Mary L. Pribnow, 71, died at her home in Norfolk surrounded by her family on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk with Reverend Matthew Niggemeyer officiating. Burial was at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Home for Funerals of Norfolk was in charge of arrangements.

Rosella Gay Lautenschlager, 84, of Albion, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at her home. Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, with Rev. Larry Barbary officiating. Following the services, her body will be cremated and a private family burial will take place at a later date at the Orchard Cemetery in Orchard. Wayne Walter Currie
Wayne Walter Currie, 99, of Norfolk, previously of Elgin, passed away on Sept. 25, 2015 at Edgewood Vista Nursing Home in Norfolk. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk with Rev. Jackie Perry officiating. A lunch will follow the service at 12 noon at Divots. Inurnment will be at Park Center Cemetery, rural Elgin, at 3 p.m.with refreshments following at the Park Congregational Church, west of the cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 5816, Elgin American Legion Post 229, and the United State Army Honors Guard. The family requests memorials be made in Wayne Currie’s name to the Alzheimers Association, 1941 S. 42nd St., Ste. 205, Omaha, NE 68105. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
