Petersburg State Bank of Petersburg received approval on Sept. 25 to change the name of the bank to Great Plains State Bank, effective immediately.
“This is the first of a series of steps we are taking to help insure a bright and positive future for our community bank and the community we serve,” said Ross Knott, bank president. “There will be no change in local operation or local personnel. We are remaining a privately held independent bank.”
