Boone County veterans will be saluted at a special program next Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. in the Boone Central High School Gym.
The Living Veteran Award will be announced, and the Daughters of the American Revolution will also make a presentation.
Veterans’ organizations, students and school staff will present portions of the program, and the Veterans Day Address will be given by Hank Thieman of Petersburg.
Following the program, a ceremony honoring the Living Veteran will be held at the Downtown Mini-Park, and a potluck supper will be held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Albion Veterans Club.
