Brian Hilbert of the Panhandle Geotechnical and Environmental Test Wells was present at the November Petersburg Village Board meeting held last Tuesday. He was in Petersburg to check into testing the wells at the old Redler Station where the fire station is.
Since there had been a hole in a tank at the time, it was now time for a required retesting. He plans to make eight inch bore holes and sample for approximately a week. If any contaminates are found, samples must be taken to ascertain how far it reaches out.
This will not be an expense for the village.
