Several special events will be held this week for the Boone County BIG GIVE, to raise awareness of charitable organizations.
The Big Give will culminate with a Wrap Party on Friday evening, Dec. 4, starting at 6 p.m. at the Cardinal Inn conference center in Albion.
Other special events this week are:
– Dec. 1-10: Pearl Harbor Remembrance display at the Albion Public Library.
– Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Boone County Fitness Center Open House.
– Dec. 3, 2 .m. and 7:30 p.m.: ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ movie at Gateway Theatre.
– Dec. 4, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Open house at Rae Valley Market, Petersburg, for the PCC portable stage project.
– Dec. 4, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Waffle breakfast at Samaritan Estates, Albion.
– Dec. 4, 9 a.m. coffee and rolls, and 11:30 a.m. lunch at the Albion Senior Center.
– Dec. 4, 12 noon to 1 p.m.: Free soup and sandwich luncheon at the Kvam Room, Boone County Health Center.
– Dec. 4, 4:30 p.m.: TeamMates event during basketball games at Boone Central Gym.
– Dec. 5, 8:30 a.m.: ‘Frozen 5K’ starting from Boone County Fitness Center.
– Dec. 5, 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.: Eulenspiegel Puppets performance of “Little Red Riding Hood” at Boone Central Gym.
