Mary C. Eischeid

Mary Christine Eischeid, 47, of Elgin, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at her parents’ home near Elgin from complications from living with diabetes for 40 years. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin with Rev. Ross Burkhalter officiating. Interment followed at the parish cemetery. Evelyn L. Swanson

Evelyn Leone (Hallgren) Swanson, daughter of Edwin and Julia (Waum) Hallgren, was born on Jan. 16, 1917, in Platte County, Nebraska. She died Dec. 6, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Home in Albion, at age 98. Services were held Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church (South Branch) in rural Albion. Burial followed at Hope Cemetery in Newman Grove. Newman Grove Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Robert (Bob) C. Zipf

Robert Carl Zipf, 90, formerly of Albion, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at Valley View Assisted Living in Fullerton. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion with Rev. David Frerichs officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post 162 and V.F.W. Post 736. Levander Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of arrangements. Harlan (Dale) Flotree

Harlan “Dale” Flotree, 91, of Lincoln, died Dec. 9, 2015. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at First Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Burial was at the Humboldt Cemetery in Humboldt.
