Norman W. Kurtenbach

Norman W. Kurtenbach, 94, of Lindsay, died Feb. 3, 2016, at the Boone County Health Center in Albion. Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay. Father James F. Novotny and Deacon Joe Kurtenbach officiated. Interment was in the Holy Family Cemetery with Military Graveside ceremony by the Lindsay American Legion Post and National Guard Honor Guard. Duesman Funeral Chapel in Humphrey was in charge of arrangements.

Robert “Bob” D. Hofacker

Robert “Bob” D. Hofacker, 89 of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society-Albion. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh with Pastor David Kuhfal officiating. Burial was at West Cedar Valley Cemetery in Elgin. Military rites were provided by American Legion Post 229 and VFW Post 5816 of Elgin, and the American Legion Riders. Huffman-Levander Funeral Home in Elgin was in charge of arrangements. Donis Ann (Motl) Deaver, 67, of Lincoln, formerly of Newman Grove, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at Holmes Lake Manor in Lincoln. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Newman Grove with Rev. David Lapka officiating. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery, Newman Grove. Phil Marshall Wake, 90, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Independence House in Lincoln. Memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.
