Jerry L. Tisthammer, a Boone County Commissioner for the past 15 years, has decided not to seek re-election to the District 2 Commissioner post.
Jerry was first elected to the District 2 Commissioner post in 2000 and is completing the final year of his fourth term, which will end in January 2017.
“I feel the time is right for me to step down,” said Tisthammer.
Two other Republican candidates, Steven Rasmussen and Richie Beister, have already filed for the District 2 seat.
