With the 2016 election filing deadline passing Monday, a four-way Republican race was taking shape for the District 2 Boone County Commissioner seat.
But filings were short of enough to fill the available seats on the Albion City Council and St. Edward School Board.
Tom Fick of Albion filed last week as a Republican for the District 2 County Commissioner seat. Also filing Monday as a Republican for that seat was Trevor VanDeWalle of Albion.
Two other Republican candidates, Steven Rasmussen and Richie Beister, had filed previously for the seat.
