St. Bonaventure Parish, Raeville, received approval early this week from Archbishop George Lucas of the Omaha Archdiocese to build the new parish hall.
The project had been requested last year after successful initial fundraising efforts.
The parish has raised about $250,000 and will need another $100,000 to complete the building, said Chris Grundmayer, a member of the project committee.
