Boone Central speech team won the C1-4 District speech competition on Monday, March 14 at Battle Creek, scoring 350 total points.
The Cardinals will have eight contestants competing in eight events at the Class C State Speech Meet next Wednesday, March 23, in Kearney.

• Sydney Wynn, first in humorous prose;
• Dana Grape, Sydney Wynn, and Olivia Groeteke, first in oral interpretation of drama;
• Hannah Schmitz, third in entertainment;
• Cameron Schilousky, first in extemporaneous;
• Jessica Weeder, first in informative;
• Amber Hallberg, second in humorous prose;
• Alexa Nelson, second in poetry.
