Proposals on possible staffing changes were presented to the Boone County Commissioners during their regular meeting Monday, April 18.
Boone County Extension and 4-H Board members, along with Extension Educator Steve Pritchard, presented staffing changes being proposed by University of Nebraska Extension.
Part of the proposal is to add a full time Beef Systems Educator to work with beef producers and programs in Boone, Nance, Platte, Merrick, Hamilton, York and Polk counties. This educator would be working out of the Fullerton Extension office.
Another change would be that, starting in 2017, Boone-Nance counties would begin paying a gradually larger share of the salary cost for the Extension Assistant serving the two counties.
