Petersburg was among the recipients of grants awarded from the Boone County Foundation Fund for 2016.
American Legion Post 334 of Petersburg received $2,000 for the Junior Law Cadet program, and for Boys and Girls State.
Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department was also the recipient of $2,400 for an auto-crib device used in vehicle extrication.
