A new paint job has improved the appearance of the Boone County Museum.
If you’ve passed by the Boone County Historical Society Museum recently, you may have noticed the building has been given a facelift.
Thanks to a facade improvement grant made in 2015 from the Albion Economic Development Corp., painting of the building exterior was completed this spring by Koziol Painting.
Since the fall of 2015, activity at the museum has been constant in preparation for installation of the proposed HVAC system to control the building climate and protect the artifacts. Long months of fund-raising and generous contributions have gone into these projects, according to Pat Boilesen, Historical Society president.
