Traditional Memorial Day ceremonies will be held on the Boone County Courthouse grounds in Albion on Monday, May 30, at 11 a.m.
This service will be preceded by a worship starting at 10 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Albion.
Tom Briese of Albion, candidate for the District 41 seat in the Nebraska Legislature, will be the guest speaker.
Richard Jacot and Merle Klassen will serve as directors of ceremonies.
The annual Living Auxiliary Award will be presented, and a flag raising to honor that person will follow the ceremony at the downtown mini-park.
A Memorial Day Breakfast, open to the public, will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Albion Veterans Club.
