Victor J. Borer

Victor Joseph Borer, 97, of Albion, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Boone County Health Center, Albion.
Surviving Vic are his wife of 69 years, Ann of Albion; children and spouses: Paul (Jody) Borer of Atlanta, GA; Ted (Debbie) Borer of Westminster, CO; Tom (Barb) Borer of Louisville, KY; Mark (Pam) of Westminster, CO; Pete (Bonnie) Borer of Littleton, CO; Tori (Mike) Phillips of Monument, CO; Beth (Mike) Bartels of Papillion; and Jay (Kaye) Borer of Austin, TX; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother Larry (Helen) Borer of Elgin; one sister Bernadine Spieker of Petersburg; one sister-in-law Carol Borer of Auburn, IN, along with many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Gerald, Dennis, Roman and Joe Borer and four sisters Rita Daly, Sally Hageman, June Simons and Claire Pelster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion with Fr. Stan Schmit officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 162 and V.F.W. Post 736 of Albion. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church with a 7:30 p.m. wake service.
