Many activities are planned this Saturday, June 18, to coincide with the annual Albion/Boone Central Alumni Banquet.
A total attendance of 200 to 250 is expected for the banquet again this year.
All events preceding the banquet will be open to the public, as well as alumni.
Albion Chamber of Commerce and the Albion Knights of Columbus will host a Pancake Feed downtown in front of Albion ThriftyWay from 7:30 to 10 a.m. on June 18. Free will donations will be used for downtown improvements.
The annual Louie Hoppe “Totally Awesome 80s” 5K Run will be starting at 10 a.m. Runners are encouraged to dress in 80s attire. Entry forms and information are available from The Healthy Back, 402-395-6957. Proceeds will go to a scholarship for a Boone Central student.
The seventh annual Smoke ‘n Chrome Car Show & Shine will begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Albion, and the show will remain open until 3 p.m.

Boone County Museum will hold an open house emphasizing its high school displays at the museum, starting at 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
The annual Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday evening at the Boone County Event Center on the fairgrounds.

Honored classes will be those of 1956 (60 years), 1961 (55 years), 1966 (50 years), 1976 (40 years), 1991 (25 years) and 2006 (10 years).
After the banquet, a beer garden and dance will be held at The J Sports Bar & Grill, and the public is invited.
In addition to the scheduled alumni weekend events, several of the honored classes are planning to gather on Friday evening, June 17.
