The Albion Cornerstone Legion Juniiors finished the past week with a split of games, bouncing back from a loss at Greeley to nip Neligh at the Albion Sports Complex.
Cornerstone traveled to Greeley to face PWG Tuesday, June 7, and the hosts delivered an inhospitable 10-2 final by eight-run rule.
Wednesday’s game at Leon Nelson Memorial Field in Albion did not start in promising fashion either, as visiting Neligh took a quick 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Cornerstone pitcher Carter Henry bore down from there, holding Neligh scoreless through the remainder of the contest and allowing Albion to rally for a 4-3 victory.
