Boone County Relay for Life is holding its 19th anniversary relay this Sunday, June 26, 4 to 10 p.m. at the Boone Central Schools track.
It will be a “Family Fun Night” theme this year with games starting at 4 p.m., and the opening ceremonies at 5 p.m. A survivors lap will follow the opening ceremony, and there will also be a luminaria ceremony at 9 p.m. to remember loved ones lost to cancer.
Closing ceremonies will be at 10 p.m.
As of Monday, June 20, there were 11 teams and 85 individuals planning to participate. Each team has been asked to bring at least one game for the festivities.
Proceeds from this event go to the American Cancer Society for research and patient assistance.
