Edmund Raymond Armatys, 88, of Grand Island, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Tiffany Square in Grand Island.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Leona Armatys of Cedar Rapids. 13 nieces and nephews and their families along with numerous friends in the Cedar Rapids area and the many close relationships he formed at Tiffany Square. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday July 19 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids with Monsignor Ralph Steffensmeier officiating. Interment followed at the parish cemetery with military rites conducted by Dan Cox American Legion Post 44 of Cedar Rapids. Levander Funeral Home of Cedar Rapids was in charge of arrangements.
