From little tots to teen cowboys and cowgirls, the Boone County Fairhad another strong turnout of participants for the 2016 version of the annual Junior Rodeo.
Youngsters competed in a variety of events at the county fairgrounds arena in Albion, including mini bull riding for the day’s finale.

Goat Tail Tie: 6 & Under – Kolt Francis, Belgrade; 7-10 – Kalie Mangelsen, Albion.
Foot Boot Race: 6 & Under – Kolt Francis; 7-10 – Jarrett Rother & Wade Rother, Belgrade.
Stick Horse Barrels: 8 & Under – Brigg Erskine, Albion (19.23).
Sheep Riders: Colton Juzenas, Albion (60).
Horse Barrels: 12 & Under – Kayley Paitz, Henderson; 13-18 – Dru Mueller, Hooper (19.57).
Horse Poles: 12 & Under – Mardee Berger, Spalding (30.47); 13-18 – Dru Mueller (27.0).
Goat Tying on Horse: Kailey Penny, Cedar Rapids (21.99).
Break Away Roping: Macy Zentner, Cedar Rapids (6.55).
Boot Race on Horse: McKenna Darby, Pleasanton.
