First concrete pour took place Thursday on school project

First concrete for the Boone Central High School addition project was poured Thursday morning, July 21.
The workers began by pouring footings for the project Area A, which includes the new locker rooms, weight/fitness room and wrestling room on the south side of the addition, according to Bruce Niesen, site superintendent with Sampson Construction, the construction manager. A concrete pumper truck was in use on the site.
The foundation pours are expected to continue into next week.
