After a slow start in their opening game on Friday night, July 22, the Albion Cornerstone seniors battled back with three wins and made it into the last day (Tuesday, July 26) to face David City in the finals.
Albion took a 10-3 loss to St. Paul on Friday, but came back on Saturday to defeat Shelby-Osceola-Stromsburg, 16-6. On Sunday, Albion Seniors dominated Twin River, 10-0, which sent them into Monday’s showdown against Sutton. Albion won that game, 6-3, to make it to Tuesday night.
With one loss already in the tournament, Albion would have to defeat David City twice on Tuesday to win the tourney and advance to the state senior tournament.
