Grain bins rise at construction site

The first of two 850,000 bushel grain bins is rising at the site of the new Pillen Milling, LLC grain elevator and feed mill northwest of Albion.
As the project continues, more concrete is being poured to the south of the bin and elevator leg, for the driveway approaches and feed mill building.
Jeff Heinrich, project manager for Pillen, said the facility is expected to begin receiving grain by harvest time this fall, and completion of the feed mill is expected by March of 2017.
