The first day will be a half day at both schools, with classes beginning at 8 a.m. and dismissing early.
Boone Central Middle School will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. St. Michael’s, along with Boone Central Elementary, and High School will dismiss at 11:50 a.m. Buses will run accordingly.
On the first day, Boone Central sixth through eighth grades will report to the Middle School Gym at Petersburg at 8:15 a.m. for orientation. The bus will leave Albion at 7:45 a.m.
Regular school hours will begin Friday, Aug. 19. The school breakfast and lunch programs will begin that day.
Bus drivers will be calling families on their routes with information on pick-up times.
New students are asked to call their respective school for an appointment to register before Aug. 17.
Students entering kindergarten and seventh grade are required to have physical exams and updated immunizations before entering school.
With construction underway at Boone Central, all main entrances have been changed to the building’s west side.
