One block of Columbia to be closed during working hours

Columbia Street in Albion will be closed to vehicle traffic during working hours between Fourth and Fifth Street starting next Monday, Aug. 29, for the Boone Central High School construction project.
Semi tractor-trailers will be using Columbia Street to deliver precast concrete wall panels to be placed for the new building.
This phase of construction will continue through Friday, Sept. 9, and the daytime closure of Columbia Street will continue through that date.
Motorists are also asked to avoid using Fifth Street past the school during working hours from Aug. 29 – Sept. 9.
