Rae Valley Show brings big weekend of activity

The 34th annual Nebraska State Antique Tractor and Horse Plowing Bee, also known as the Rae Valley Old Thresher’s Reunion, brought a big weekend of activity to the Petersburg area last Friday through Sunday, Aug. 26-28.
Events started with arrival of the Tractor Cade on Friday evening, followed by the cream can supper and barn dance.
Saturday began with the antique machinery auction, followed by working evnets and plowing, and the antique tractor pull.
The Parade of Power highlighted the afternoon both days, with more than 200 tractors on the grounds.
A special feature this year was the Iowa Hudson, Essex and Terra Plane exhibit on Saturday.
Working events and plowing highlighted the activity on Sunday, along with the Kiddie Tractor Pull and other children’s events.
