On Sunday, Sept. 18, Mary Jane Noble will be assisted by Karen Stewart, in presenting “Remembering the Past,” starting at 2 p.m. at the Boone County Museum, 11th and Fairview Streets in Albion.
This program will feature a discussion of the unsolved Sherriff Smoyer and Constable Wathen murders of 1937.
Recollections of that day, collected from family members, and the investigation that followed will be featured along with museum artifacts that include Sherriff Smoyer’s gun holster and actual national magazine articles. Time will be given for interaction with those in attendance.
