Farm 4 A Cure, an organization formed to help Boone County area residents in times of crisis, will be hosting its first major fund raising event, “The Hicks from the Sticks Country Battle,” this Saturday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m.
The contest will be at the Baker farm, south of St. Edward, 3386 360th Street.
The competition will include a mud run, cob-eating contest, the Farm Olympics and a karaoke tournament. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each event.
Everyone is welcome to watch the competition.
After the contest, all attendees will be invited to watch the Nebraska football game outdoors on a big screen TV.
All proceeds willl go into the fund to provide assistance.
Farm 4 A Cure, Cultivating a Generous Heart, was formed to support people battling crisis situations, citizens in need, or those supporting a cause or seeking a cure for disease or health issues in Boone County.
