A team of five educators from across the country visited Boone Central Public Schools this week to evaluate the district.
These evaluations take place every five years to determine the school’s progress in meeting its educational improvement plan.
Dr. Cheryl Allread of South Carolina, lead evaluator for AdvancEd, said this is a voluntary process that many schools use for quality assurance.
Allread said the team begins by reviewing artifacts and data collected by the school, followed by on-site interviews of students, teachers, administrators and the public.
