Trey Zoucha and Katie Goodwater, both juniors at Boone Central, have been chosen by American Legion Post and Auxiliary 162 of Albion to attend Cornhusker Boys/Girls State in June.
This educational program, held in Lincoln each year, was founded on the premise of educating young adults by exposing them to leadership experiences that teach constructive attitudes toward American government.
The program, which originated in the 1930s and has been adopted by the American Legion, allows junior students from each town in Nebraska to attend.
