Boone Central/Newman Grove concluded the 2018 boys golf season with a 9th place finish in the B-2 District tournament at the Wayne Golf Course May 15.
Elkhorn Mt. Michael won the B-2 team championship with a score of 325. Lakeview (341) and Scotus (343) placed second and third, respectively, also qualifying for the Class B state tournament. Boone Central/Newman Grove finished the 18-hole district tourney with a 390 team total.
Junior Bradon Anderson paced the Cardinals with a 93, which placed him 31st among individual golfers. Senior Garrett Cornwell was right behind his teammate, finishing 32nd with a round of 94. Rounding out BC/NG scoring were senior Bryton Fowlkes (97) and freshman Wade Hendrickson (106). Senior Mack Nelson shot a 109.
