Cecile L. Matson, 91, of Albion, formerly of St. Edward, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion.
Cecile is survived by seven children: Jerry (Jean) Bounds of South Haven, MS; Herbert (Elaine) Bounds of Carthage, MS; Linda (Tommy) Madden of Union, MS; Douglas (Linda) Bounds of Walnut Grove, MS; Ricky, Sheila, and Steve Bounds of St. Edward; five step-children: Cheri (Ed) Gbur of Bandon, OR; Curtis (Christine) Matson of Colorado Springs, CO; Randa (Craig) Salazar, James (Debra) Matson , and Wayne (Tina) Matson, all of Kearney; sister Willie Mae Malone of Moss Pointb , MS; brother Charles Lee (Betty) Wolverton of Moss Point, MS; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Walter and Bud; son Herman Bounds; grandson Dewayne Bounds; granddaughter Teresa Bounds; two step-sons: Johnny and Michael Matson; four sisters: Adele Smith, Becky Wolverton, Shirley Wolverton, and Margie Stewart.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at United Methodist Church in St. Edward, with Rev. Vern Olson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in St. Edward.
