Marion Kunzman, a retired Albion teacher, received the “Living Auxiliary Member” award on Memorial Day 2018 from local veterans’ organizations.
The award was presented during the annual ceremony by Legion Commander Leon Magsamen and Forrest Francis, who received the Living Veteran award last November.
Each Memorial Day the mini park flag award is presented to a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 736 or a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Manderson Lehr Unit 162.
This year’s recipient is active in the VFW Auxiliary Post 736, where she has held the offices of president and vice president.
Her hobbies include gardening, reading, crocheting, singing, traveling and camping. She is an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, having served on many committees.
