Boone Central School Board adopted a motion for possible purchase of the Albion Masonic Lodge building during a lengthy regular meeting Monday night, July 16.
The purchase amount is not to exceed $100,000, according to the motion.
Albion Lodge #78, A.F.& A.M., will be closing soon, and members were scheduled to meet Tuesday night, July 17, to consider the offer.
During school days, the building has been used for the Boone Central Pathways program over the past several years under a rental agreement with the lodge.
The real estate purchase, as well as legal advice on school board policy revisions, were discussed during a 1 1/2-hour closed session.
