Grillers are being invited to compete in Albion’s ninth annual Rhythm & Ribs celebration coming up Saturday, Aug. 18, on Fourth and Main Streets in the downtown area.

The barbecue contest will again feature total prize money of $2,200.
Gates will open at 8 a.m., with the beer garden starting at 10 a.m. People’s Choice barbecue sampling will be open from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
Judging will be held at 4:30 p.m., and the rib dinner starts at 6 p.m.
Music will start at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day and evening. There will be a bounce house and other activities for children, as well as a cornhole tournament and other games for adults.
