Administrators reported an enrollment increase at Boone Central Public Schools during the monthly school board meeting Monday night, Aug. 13.
Enrollment projections for the first day of school, Aug. 14, were 236 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, 111 in sixth through eighth, and 204 in high school (9-12), bringing total K-12 enrollment to 551 students.
This total is 12 students higher than last year’s starting enrollment of 539.
In preschool this year, there are 71 students in three sections, an increase of 12 from the 59 students in two sections last year.
Total PreK-12 enrollment is 622 students, an increase of 24 or about four percent from last year’s Pre-K starting enrollment of 598.
These enrollment numbers are subject to possible changes during the first few days of school.
