BCHC ‘Know Your Numbers’ to continue Thursday, Oct. 4

CHECKING IN — Patients register for profiles at Know Your Numbers early Tuesday morning, Oct. 2.

Boone County area residents still have a chance to participate in the ninth annual Know Your Numbers event presented by the Boone County Health Center this Thursday, Oct. 4 from 6:30-8:30 a.m.
Earlier sessions were held Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, Oct. 2 and 3.
No appointments will be taken and patients will be served on a first come, first serve basis. The profile includes testing for diabetes, lipids (cholesterol), kidney function, liver, anemia, infection, thyroid, iron (for females) and prostate (for males).
For best results, BCHC recommends drinking plenty of water and fasting for 10-12 hours prior to the blood draw. Results will be available via BCHC Patient Portal within 72 hours. Patient Portal sign-up will be offered at the event. Results can also be mailed within 10 days.
The providers encourage all of their patients to participate and bring the lab results to them for review.
