Merlin LeRoy Stone, 91, of rural St. Edward, passed away Oct. 17 at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove.
He is survived by son Michael Stone of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Marcia Stone Smith of Indianapolis, IN and son Charles (Paula) Stone of Newman Grove, four grandchildren, Patrick (Amanda) Smith, Karen Smith, Kyle Stone, Rebecca Stone, and two great grandchildren Zaylie Smith and Zachary Smith, siblings Leon (Ruth) Stone, Marvin (Lucille) Stone and sister-in-law Patsy Stone.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, his parents, Maynard and Minnie Stone, and brother Leland Stone.
Services will be on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Lindsay with burial at Looking Glass Cemetery, rural Newman Grove.
Memorials may be directed to the Newman Grove Fire and Rescue or to the Boone County Health Center.
Newman Grove Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
