Following a superlative sophomore season, Boone Central/Newman Grove’s Jordan Stopak was named to the Nebraska Coaches Association Class C All-State Cross Country Team. The award is presented by Custom Sports of Norfolk.
Stopak concluded her stellar campaign with a runner-up finish in the Class C race of the 2018 Nebraska Cross Country Championships at Kearney Country Club. Her time of 20:05 in the state meet was a personal best and the second-fastest Boone Central mark all-time.
Her state effort followed a gold medal performance in the C-2 District at the Albion Country Club, where she set a new school and course record of 18:53. She was the Mid-State Conference runner-up to teammate Samantha Weeder and finished in the top three of every meet in the 2018 season.
