St. Edward community is planning a three-day event, the Holiday Extravaganza, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 9, 10 and 11.
Holiday open houses are planned at various businesses throughout Friday and Saturday, and into the evenings.
St. Edward United Methodist Church will host its Aebeskiver Supper on Friday, 5 to 8 p.m., to benefit the St. Ansgar (Rosenborg) Church.
On Saturday, a vendor and craft show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., soup and rolls from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and the St. Edward Library will have pumpkin painting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The annual “Santa Run,” a 5K run featuring Santas and elves, will start with registration at 10 a.m. and the run at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Several businesses will continue their open houses on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Holiday Extravaganza is sponsored in part by the St. Edward Development Co. and partially funded by the Boone County Visitors Promotion Fund.
