John Temme Auction and Real Estate announced this week that Ron Coakes has joined the company as its newest sales associate.
Coakes has worked as a clerk for the auction company for the past 25 years. He said he now looks forward to working on the real estate side of the business.
Ron has been a farmer for the past 40 years, and has lived southwest of Petersburg for the past 35 years with his wife, Zondee. They have two adult children, Roxanne and Robert.
With a commitment to community service, Ron has served on many boards and committees. He served 15 years on the Boone County Health Center Board of Trustees, He has been a member of the Petersburg Rural Fire District Board for more than 20 years and served years on the Boone County Ag Society Board.
Ron has served on his church council and currently serves on the Albion Education Foundation Board. He is in his third term on the Boone County Farm Service Agency Committee.
He describes his approach to business as: “Treat other people the way you would like to be treated.”
