Katherine Ann Smith (Long), of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Dec. 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Kate is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Philip Smith, siblings James and Elizabeth, her loving daughter, Margaret, and is survived by three loving children, daughters Mary and Elizabeth, and son Michael. Kate is also survived by nine grandchildren, Erin Egan, Patrick Egan, Elizabeth Mullen, Katherine Mullen, James Mullen, Thomas Mullen, Brendon Smith, Brian Smith, Erin Fleming and numerous great grandchildren and nieces.
Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1720 Lake Street in Lincoln. The family will receive friends directly following services with a luncheon at the Blessed Sacrament Church Gymnasium.
Memorials are suggested in the name of Katherine Smith to the Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration, (The Pink Sisters) at 1040 S. Cotner Blvd, Lincoln, NE 68510. Internment to take place at a future date at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion.
