Richard “Dick” Ernest Nelson, 85, of Albion, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion. Dick is survived by his wife: Jeannice Nelson of Albion, daughter Sherry Riese of Norfolk, two sons: Rick (Connie) Nelson and Randy (Andrea) Nelson, all of Albion, eight grandchildren: Dustin, Kalin, Stacy, Derek, Brett, Gina, Mack, and Emma; eight great grandchildren; sister Virginia Krohn of Albion; niece Nancy (Terry) Ahlers; nephews: Charles (Cheryl) Krohn and Ronald (Nancee) Krohn, all of AlbionE, along with many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law: David Riese and brother-in-law William Krohn.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at United Methodist Church in Albion with Rev. Janet Burgel officiating. Inurnment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for a later designation.
