A public meeting moderated by the Petersburg Village Board for the purpose of hearing suggestions regarding the Boone Central Middle School building was held Wednesday evening, Oct. 2, 2019. Approximately 30 people attended.
Village board chair Corey Stokes moderated the meeting. Other board members present were Mitch Koch and Steve Werner.
Stokes said, “I know it seems like a long time away, but we have to start getting our minds together on what the town wants to do with the building.”
Boone Central School board member Karrie Fogelman said the board presently is at a stand-still until they know what Petersburg wants to do with the facility. Then the board can make decisions.
Do you want to take the three story down or have it stay? There has been feedback to the board with a lot of ideas, but the school board will not have any discussions until a Petersburg committee is formed.
