Coldest temperatures so far this winter hit the Albion area during the past week.
Below zero early morning temperatures were recorded on five of the past seven days, and the low for the week was minus six degrees on Sunday, Jan. 19. High for the week was 33 degrees on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 18, according to local weather observer Steve Wright.
A gradual warming trend was in the forecast for this week, with a high of 36 degrees predicted for today, Wednesday, Jan. 22. Temperatures could reach a high of 40 degrees next Sunday and Monday, Jan. 26-27.
