Sponsor funds round out 2019 Big Give totals

Some $22,000 in additional sponsor funds helped to round out the 2019 Boone County Big Give totals for the 27 participating organizations.
Final totals were announced this week, and it was a record-breaking year, with a total of $387,594 contributed in the sixth annual event.
After expenses are paid each year, the remaining sponsor dollars are contributed to each of the participating organizations, based on the total number of gifts they received, up to a maximum of $2,000.
Receiving the maximum in sponsor dollars this year were St. Michael’s School, for playground improvements, and Boone County Health Center Foundation, to purchase transcutaneous bilirubin (TCB) readers used in treatment of jaundiced infants.
Grand totals, with sponsor dollars, and projects for each of the 27 participating organizations are outlined in the Feb. 5 Albion News print and e-editions.
