Postponements, cancellations due to COVID-19

Following are postponements and cancellations announced since Wednesday, March 18:
ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN loading at the Mission Possible Store, originally set for Monday, March 23, is postponed to a later date.
BOONE COUNTY HOME, FARM & GARDEN SHOW, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28, has been postponed to Saturday, May 2, 2020. Biggo Bash game with local businesses will continue until the show date.
BOONE CENTRAL PUBLIC SCHOOL closed until March 27 due to COVID-19 outbreak.
GATEWAY THEATRE, Albion, is closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
NEWMAN GROVE PUBLIC SCHOOL closed until March 31 due to COVID-19 outbreak
RIVERSIDE PUBLIC SCHOOL, Cedar Rapids and Spalding, is closed until March 31, 2020. The school is conducting grade level enrichment challenges online.
ST. EDWARD PUBLIC SCHOOL closed up to six weeks, starting March 17, due to COVID-19 outbreak. Closure is being re-assessed every two weeks.
AREA CHURCH SERVICES — Most churches in the Boone County area have canceled services and activities this week. Zion Lutheran Church, Albion, will broadcast its Sunday worship service on Eagle Cable Channel 21.
BOONE COUNTY FITNESS CENTER, Albion, is closed through March 31. A re-assessment of the situation will be made at that time.
ST. EDWARD PLANNING COMMISSION meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, is canceled. The meeting will likely be rescheduled for a later date.
BANK LOBBIES are closed to walk-in traffic in Albion and other area communities. Drive-up or walk-up service is available. Please call ahead if you need an appointment with a bank officer.
LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE (LEPC) of Boone County is postponing its second quarterly meeting and will reschedule for a later date.
