Big drop in local gas prices

Nebraska’s average gas price was still slightly over $2 per gallon on Monday, March 23, but prices were coming down rapidly across the country.
In Albion, super unleaded (10 percent ethanol) was selling for $1.91.9 cents per gallon on Monday, the lowest price in many years.
The national average regular gas price was $2.12 per gallon, and the Nebraska average was $2.02.4 per gallon.
Crude oil is the biggest driver of the less expensive gas prices. In the last week, crude oil prices dropped to $22 per barrel – a low not seen since 2002.
